Here come your fears, eroding forces, worn out ideals, extinct torches. We will never love again. We haven’t smiled in years. Enough of substance? Alienation? Blood next door. Evolving faces. Living for a cause. Drifting far away. Sleep, weep, a life in awe… And we all die alone, and we all cry alone, and we all die alone.
2.
As long as you trust in yourself this time and not in a fool, we can grow and sharpen our minds. Noone can say, we haven’t seen it coming. Loss will occur, there is nothing to gain. So, let’s shine a light on the darkest days. Do we uphold a vanishing code? We must try, while they betray common values, support social division, reject mutual respect, distort words we say. We must not be silent. No, we can’t wait. They stir up fear and they tear apart. They take the ones from us, that we once loved. When bonds crumble, when friendships break, it is now. We face a new threat day by day and they turn wrong into right. Simple minds and some evil souls set the tone, while our anger rises. One thing you better keep in mind, the more you fight back, the more they attack. They won’t listen to the facts. Talk is in vain, while they betray. And we know we’ve lost a friend. Agitation stole a friend. Deep inside we are the same. I won’t let go. We are the same. I won’t let go. Will you take the bait when the bait is poison? The demagogues are spreading poison.
3.
Endless dedication and aimless moderation. Looking for the answers, never thought about the questions. We had a say, we had a ball wasting gas money right after the show. And besides, tough guy jocks made us smile. Now we are miles apart, yet still a part. Are you with us? Words may last and we may fade away. The match, the spark. Won’t put it aside. Songs of liberation. A prediction of damnation. Picking up the pieces, all our hopes are swept away. Time to regret, time for a rest, cling to a promise that may seem worthless. Grown old youth, out of touch, out of style. Still words mean more than printed letters. Not in a million years, not in our name, will I the fuck give in and accept the blame.
4.
The symptoms: deep sleep, apathy, lethargy. A syndrome called life, a death ceremony. Like slaves, a broken spirit, the daily marching beat. Oppressed by monotony, vacant stares and emotionless faces. We fill the day, we fill another. Any step aside from the blue print causes sheer insecurity. All the good guys should know, won’t keep our efforts low. Law and order must fail. Autonomy’s not for sale. As long as our actions speak, reach every corner, one wrench removes the rust, will feed the fire in our hearts. Anytime, anywhere, feed the fire! Here come the sufferers and culprits at the same time. No more pity on anyone. It’s up to us to end this deep sleep. We kill the time, well-trained in patience. Rising up against this stillness seems like our very last chance. Rage! We can’t afford this. We can’t afford to sleep. I know there’s a breaking point, a silent thought that will make us leave. Question your actions, defy the corporate game! We can only change ourselves and get away from this disease. Get away!
5.
We turn our backs on what we can see. Are we aware of what we need? Silence ain’t no sort of compassion. We deny our social dependency. Are we afraid? Are we afraid to speak? Are we dead, are we buried alive? We all are fed with a handful of promises. So voracious that we take and take, adore the things that we regret the most. Of course, nobody ever had a trauma. Of course, nobody has got a weak spot. It’s a bleak life. What we live is the daily grind. So, we shut down our minds. We don’t see how we bleed, the dark disease, the way we feel. We suppress our tears while we cheer - la belle indifference. What fails again is understanding. What lacks the most is self-respect. In want of love, what we lose is our empathy. This equals death for you and me.
6.
As I look back in retrospect now that half of the mileage at least is done. I assume nothing changed for the better and no one stayed the same. Digging in the past hurts again. No questions shall be raised. There must be something I’ve found over the years. Am I the one who can break a chain of guilt? Will I just drown in the sea of frustration? Can I help to save a life? Am I still pissed to the present day? We know you hide your true self under that mask. The saddest days and a mouthful of anger is what you’ve left behind. Lost my faith in your god and his villains. I hope you pray in vain. For years when we grew up, we laughed, cried and we rocked together and we still had no clue. And after all I see the mental pain that grows underneath a smiling face. We are one - fuck it! Our common blood never meant so much to me that I’ll take part in a history of lies, a life of betrayal, the image of a perfect family. Your Christian mask hides not the devil. It just covers a guilty soul.
7.
Their eyes are kept on us like vultures waiting for the next prey. Independence is at stake. And no one turned the tide. And no one changed their minds. We gave up our stance, we gave up the fight, suburban denial, breaking the mold. Killing capitalism from the inside out is still a joke. Tonight, we sacrifice what we have lost. Tonight, we praise ourselves. Take a stand deny! We’ll find some sort of truth at any cost. If self-delusion works. All your fame will be gone. All your green won’t last long. You have lost our trust like the others. Liars and cheaters, we won’t reach out. Your foundation’s cracking. You’ve built a lie on our own ashes. We claim to be for real, pretending a strong voice, defying our tears, repeating the wrong choice. We sing a stolen song, we chant a dusty slogan, forget about our origins, neglect where we came from. Most of the precious goods ain’t monetary. Creative minds are not for sale. Our words must turn into a weapon. Art ain’t no product just like everything else.
8.
Simple things we take for granted won’t last forever. Are you still at ease keeping calm? Do you avoid speaking out what for sure burns inside of you for a whole lifetime? All the fighting, getting pressure all along the way. Have you found a rest? While we speak no one listens to our stories and our warnings. Just the two of us and the last few working on a dream. We chose to resist. Questioning the world, don’t count me out getting the things done, that made us proud. Images in mind will remain for a life. A tight bond, a brotherhood, almost a friendship. Noble aims and inglorious endings. What keeps you going? What’s of value now? Growing old and getting wise. Losing sight. Fading away.

Generations 03:16
We did not have to fight each other. We will not become the best of friends. Our story has been told, each moment from my view. I’ve spent most of my time to search, to crash and burn. Now that years have gone by my scars seem not to fade. All those rusty chains, they will never break. We cannot rewind life. Religion steals our time. Instead of letting go I try to find out why. Everybody searches for a meaning in their own life at some time. The choices we made, we’ll never know, where they might lead us, which ways we will go. The love we’ve never shared is the love we’ve never felt. We know the clock ticks fast, soon a new season ends. Few more years are left, left for us to live. Have we been killed before by this long freezing cold? A lack of empathy is indeed no one’s fault. We watch how time flies. More small talk and new lies. We are used to remain still, to sit and bear our pain, awaiting a new day, a new life, a new start. Another empty phrase told us to live for now. And we just sit and rot, dead still.
10.
Accusations cut deep. A life as we know it and a friendship will soon cease. Rejection hits hard. Scars will remain and we’ll never be the same. One simple word can hurt so fast. Some simple words define a life. And we would get along. We would pursue a dream. Life without regrets, the real deal. Let the best of times prevail and we may meet again next holiday. Will we prevent talking about your bitterness, suffering and fears and how your life falls apart? And we know, we know we bleed the same. One life, no second trial. You’ve got to go it alone! Those empty days, your stolen years, have meant so much. More than you claim. Did I earn your trust or did you sell your soul for an empty heart and fake goals? A life of illusions, ideals get burned away. The tragic of aging. Avoidance leads astray. A world in despair, we’re born to cease existence. One single act could break, could break the silence.

Bitter End 02:59
Saying good-bye is hard enough when we leave. All your troubles and sorrow soon to be replaced by grief. We are waiting, waiting for a new dawn. Can’t sit patient ‘till the night begins. And one more day, another brand-new start. And one more night, another bleeding heart. We all suffer with a cure in our own hands. We all struggle ‘till the bitter end. Chasing black clouds countless days, half of the nights. Mode of self-destruction, constant withering of life. Enough talking, talking to the same ghosts. Tired of thinking, sobriety stays outside. We all struggle until the end. Everyone knows what we want. Everyone sees what we need. Everyone seems to know what we want. Everyone seems to see what we need. Revive the past times. Fellas unite! And let’s claim we are alright, numb, awaiting. Try to relight a burned-out fire. We’re dead inside and we’re still waiting.

about

Farewell Signs Germany

A group of friends, previously active in bands like Driving The Salt, Red Tape Parade or Bridges Left Burning, whose musical paths have crossed again after many years. Driven by the urge to create an outlet for these negative emotions by forging a contemporary blend of hardcore and punk, mixed with a decent dose of rock and metal, that is still as relevant as in their youth. ... more
